For nearly 40 years, Sacramento Jazz Jubilee has been bringing the great American form known as jazz to thousands of fans and enthusiasts. Today, the festival features 60+ bands in a handful of venues around downtown, including Old Sacramento and the Convention Center area, over Memorial Day weekend. Since jazz has been around for so long, it’s had a chance to be influenced by many different styles of music, as well as influence other styles and this festival reflects that perfectly, showcasing bands that play “traditional” jazz, Dixie, Latin, ragtime, blues, gospel, funk, big band jazz, Western swing and more.
